Born and raised in California, Dona attended Harvard University, where she received a dual BA degree in German and Music in 2005. After graduation, she worked as a paralegal at Morrison Cohen LLP in Manhattan for two years. Dona then moved to Ireland to earn an M. Phil degree in Popular Literature from Trinity College, where she completed a dissertation which was awarded Distinction by the School of English, linking her two passions: literature and film.

In addition to reading, writing, editing, and all things related, Dona enjoys practicing (and teaching) piano, watching films, and knitting. She has also completed the online UCLA screenwriting course and written three full-length screenplays.
