Melissa Weber was born and raised in Greenville, Michigan, and was transplanted to
the Detroit suburbs during her junior year of high school. After her graduation from
Alma College, Melissa taught for two years, and then entered into a career in the automotive
industry as a buyer.
Melissa has moonlighted as a writer and editor since college, when she edited the papers of
fellow students. She recently made a career-changing decision, due to the decline of the
automotive industry, to become a full-time freelance editor and writer, which eventually brought
her to Proof-Reading.Com, LLC. Melissa has edited documents written by undergraduate and graduate
students, as well as business documents of all types. She has also ghost-written e-books and
business articles. She hopes to write grants some day, as well as to ghostwrite and/or edit a
major fiction or non-fiction book. She has written poetry, and plans to eventually write her life story.
Melissa is an avid reader, musician, and outdoor enthusiast. Her favorite genre is historical
fiction. Melissa sings and plays piano, and she loves to garden, bicycle, practice Moo Sool Do
(a Korean combined martial art), and cross-country ski. Melissa is also a chaplain, and is
particularly interested in helping those with special needs, especially those on the autism spectrum.
