Victoria Bell was born in England and raised in Scotland, Canada, South Africa, France, and South
Africa again, staying long enough to go to university, work as a copy editor for a post-secondary
college, and later as a writer of African country profile reports for a geological consultancy. In
2000, she returned to Canada and has settled in Ottawa as a full-time editor, translator and writer.
Her special interest areas with respect to editing include fiction (novels; short stories; flash
fiction), Africa, mining, geology, television production, music, literature, artificial intelligence
and network computing.
Victoria enjoys traveling, writing, reading, and music. She has completed two novels and is
currently writing a third, and her short stories have been published in print and online literary
journals.
